Main differences

In the beginning, we would like to address, that either one of the vacuums should be sufficient for most people. However, there are some key differences, that you should keep in mind before you make the final decision.

The first major difference is the suction power. This is one of the most important factors, as it directly translates to cleaning performance. The more suction a particular unit has, the more effective it will be at removing the deeply embedded dirt and debris.

ILife V5s Pro boasts 1000 Pa suction, which isn’t as good as the 1300 Pa suction present in Eufy Robovac 11s, although it should do fine in most scenarios. What’s more important, the ILife V5s Pro isn’t eligible for cleaning medium-pile carpets, therefore it doesn’t require much more power.

The second crucial dissimilarity is wet cleaning with a mopping system. This feature is only present in the ILife V5s Pro. By attaching a special mopping pad and tank filled with water, the unit can sweep and mop your floor instead of only dry vacuuming.

In order to make those functions possible, the manufacturer, unfortunately, had to decrease the capacity. This vacuum can hold only up to 10 oz. of liquid when mopping, or up to 10 oz. of debris when dry vacuuming.

This leads us to the next difference which is the capacity. The Eufy Robovac 11s can hold up to 20 oz. of debris when cleaning, which is twice as much as the ILife V5s Pro can. This is definitely something to take into account if you own a bigger household, or you have a lot of areas to cover.

The last dissimilarity are the cleaning modes. The Eufy Robovac 11s has two additional cleaning modes. Those are manual cleaning mode (you can operate the unit using direction buttons on the remote controller), and single room mode (which allows you to clean a single room in your household).

Those are pretty much all the differences, that you should know about. Based on those aspects, you can already choose which robotic vacuum is a better option for your household. Although, we strongly suggest reading the rest of the article, in order to learn more well-detailed information.

Cleaning performance

Cleaning performance is probably the most important factor when choosing your new cleaning device. By this, we mean how well a particular device does, compared to other products from a similar price range.

We have to say, that both units do a pretty good job in terms of hardwood cleaning. There are no major differences when it comes to removing dust, dirt, or larger debris. This can be due to the maximum suction mode, which is implemented in both robotic vacuums.

In the Eufy Robovac 11s, it’s called the BoostIQ mode and turns on automatically when the vacuum detects a little more demanding area. The same goes for the ILife V5s Pro, this unit can achieve its maximum suction after turning on the “max” mode.

There is, however, a difference when it comes to floor surface compatibility. Both units can remove dirt, dust, debris, or even pet hair from many different surfaces, such as tile, hardwood, laminate & more.

NOTE: The Eufy Robovac 11s should be used on low- to medium-pile carpets, tile, laminated, and hardwood floors. It’s not suitable for high-pile carpet and very dark-colored floors. The ILife v5s Pro isn’t suitable for both medium and high-pile carpets.

The suction is more powerful in the Eufy Robovac 11s, therefore, if you are looking for something, that can clean more demanding areas, it’s definitely a product to consider. In terms of everyday cleaning, either one of them should do equally well.

Even though both ILife V5s Pro and Eufy Robovac 11s use the same type of navigation, they are called different. The ILife’s product boasts “Sensor Based Mini-Room” navigation while the Eufy Robovac 11s uses the “Bounce Navigation”.

Both units operate by moving in a random path, instead of finding the most efficient one. They keep cleaning the floor until the whole area is done. In order to achieve this, the manufacturers implemented multiple sensors such as drop-sensing sensors or anti-bump sensors.

When either unit runs out of battery, they come back to their docking station, in order to recharge and continue the cleaning process.

The ILife V5s Pro also has a unique feature which is mopping. With this device you can dry vacuum, sweep and even mop wet stains, so basically you are buying a 3-in-1 device. That being said, it has some drawbacks such as reduced capacity. Nonetheless, we still find those extra functions convenient and reliable.

There are also multiple cleaning modes in each device, the common ones are:

  • Auto mode
  • Edge cleaning mode
  • Spot cleaning mode
  • Scheduled mode

The Eufy Robovac 11s additionally has a single room cleaning mode (it allows the unit to focus only on one room), and manual cleaning mode (with this mode, you can operate the vacuum manually, using buttons on the remote controller).

This is pretty much all you should know about the cleaning performance. Of course, there are many factors, that can indirectly alter the cleaning performance, however, we will talk about those in the latter part of the article.

Capacity

The capacity is another important aspect, as it’s the second most important factor, that determines the maximum cleaning time, right next to the battery life. Fortunately, the capacity is sufficient in both models, although there is a significant difference between the two models.

The ILife V5s Pro has a maximum capacity of 10 oz. (0.3 l), which is noticeably less than the capacity in the Eufy Robovac 11s, which boasts 20 oz. (0.6 l) capacity. This is probably due to the fact, that the manufacturer had to make more space, in order to implement the mopping function.

This is an aspect, that you should take into account especially if you own a big household. If you don’t have too much area to cover, there’s nothing to worry about in terms of capacity.

What’s worth adding, the water tank capacity is the same as the dust bin capacity in the ILife V5s Pro which is 10 oz.

Noise level

The noise level may be something, that many people don’t pay attention to, as in standard upright vacuums this is not an important measurement. However, the robotic vacuums were created in order to let you do other activities instead of cleaning, therefore, we highly value low noise levels.

After all, no one wants to be bothered by the loud noise of the vacuum cleaning in the background.

There is a small difference between today’s competitors, the ILife V5s Pro produces around 50 dB in silent mode (when the suction is reduced to 550 Pa) while the Eufy Robovac 11s produces around 55 dB in a standard mode.

You can take this factor into consideration, if peace and quiet is something, that you are after when choosing a new cleaning device.

Remote control features

The manufacturers also implement multiple remote control features, that allow you to control the robotic vacuums using only one device. Often you can also operate them by simple voice commands and integration with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa.

However, in this case, neither of the vacuums allows you to use voice commands or app on your smartphone. Everything is done using the special remote controller, that comes included in the package, or special buttons on the vacuum itself.

If you would like to have access to the extra features mentioned above, we can only suggest investing in newer models coming from those companies.

Battery life

The battery life is the most important factor when it comes to the maximum cleaning time. This aspect determines how long a particular unit will be ready for use without recharging at the docking station.

Even though the maximum run time is very similar in both models, there is a small difference. The Eufy Robovac 11s can operate only for up to 100 minutes while the ILife V5s Pro can operate for up to 110 minutes.

This is, in fact, a small difference – What’s more, the battery life can often differ depending on the conditions such as the cleaning surface. Therefore, we wouldn’t recommend completely relying on those numbers.

Design

Design is the crucial part of every robotic vacuum, as every unit needs to be slim and keep a low profile. Thanks to this type of design, robotic vacuums can clean under and around most of the furniture. Thankfully, both ILife V5s Pro and Eufy Robovac 11s meet those requirements.

If you would like to learn some more technical information, the ILife V5s Pro measures 11.8 x 11.8 x 3 in. and weighs 4.5 lb. while the Eufy Robovac 11s measures 12.8 x 12.8 x 2.85 in. and weighs 5.73 lb. As you can see, Eufy’s product is heavier, although, we didn’t find any disadvantages related to this fact, other than carrying the device around.

There is also a difference in functionality – Since the ILife V5s Pro can mop and sweep the floor, there is a mopping pad, that can be attached to the unit, as well as a water tank. The water tank and dust bin can be replaced by opening the top of the cover. In both units, you can also find an on/off button on the cover.

Price

The price of the vacuums is probably the first thing many people check when comparing different cleaning devices. Although, we still decided to touch on this aspect.

The ILife V5s Pro is listed on Amazon for the price of $159.99 (Click here to see the price!). While the Eufy Robovac 11s is listed on Amazon for the price of $219.99 (Click here to see the price!).

One thing to keep in mind is that the price can fluctuate quite a bit. Therefore, we highly recommend checking the current price before making the final decision. Both products can be also often found discounted on Amazon.

Necessary maintenance

The necessary maintenance is another important aspect when owning a new robotic vacuum. Many people may be unaware of this, however, in order to keep your new robotic vacuums operating at the desired level and to prevent any permanent damage, you should always take proper maintenance steps.

We won’t be getting into details here, as it would simply make the whole article too long. We will, however, try to give you some basic maintenance tips, that can be useful when using either one of the vacuums.

Firstly, we would like to address, that the ILife V5s Pro manufacturer gives some basic maintenance steps on the official Amazon page. Those steps are the listed steps:

  • Running the robot without a mop holder will decrease the possibility of getting stuck.
  • Please remove the electronic cords, bar chair, fan with a stand base before cleaning
  • Please take the water tank out while charging.
  • Do not use scheduling in mopping mode
  • Empty dust box and clean filter after each use.
  • Replace a new filter every month.

Besides the steps recommended by this manufacturer, we would also like to give you some basic maintenance activities, that should work in the majority of robotic vacuums. Those are the following:

  • Regularly clean/rinse all the brushes
  • Regularly check the brush roll and side brushes for any stuck dirt and/or debris
  • At least once a week clean the cover of the vacuum/wheels
  • Replace any used or damaged elements as fast as possible
  • Regularly empty and check the vacuum’s dustbin for any stuck dirt or debris

Those are some of the basic maintenance factors, however, in order to learn all the necessary details, we highly recommend reading the user’s guide which comes with either one of the vacuums.

Conclusion

In conclusion, both vacuums are a great choice, as they are very efficient, reliable and affordable. We are convinced, that either one of them should be sufficient for most people, however, there are some things to keep in mind before making the final decision.

Some of the most important differences are the suction (noticeably higher in the Eufy Robovac 11s), wet cleaning mode (available only in the ILife V5s Pro), capacity (Eufy Robovac 11s has twice the capacity of the ILife V5s Pro), and cleaning modes (Eufy Robovac 11s has manual cleaning mode and single room cleaning mode).

Based on the factors above, we would say, that the Eufy Robovac 11s is the winner of this comparison. It’s a better robotic vacuum overall, however, if you are looking for something to mop the unexpected stains, the ILife V5s Pro is a way to go. It will also be very reliable when dry cleaning.

We hope, that after reading this article you will be satisfied with your final choice.
